lern.life serves three groups: teachers and educators who want AI to reduce their administrative burden and help them create better content; students and learners who want a personal AI tutor, career coach, and job-readiness toolkit; and institutions — universities, schools, NHS trusts, pharma companies, and corporate L&D teams — who want to deploy AI-powered learning at scale.

Access depends on your role. Institutions can request a demo and deployment at lern.life/#contact. Once deployed, your institution's administrator will create accounts for teachers and students. Individual educators can also sign up directly at uni.lern.life. The platform runs in any modern web browser — no software installation required. It is also fully mobile-responsive.

lern.life's AI tutoring is curriculum-specific, not generic. Teachers upload their own course materials (PDFs, lecture notes, documents) and the AI is trained on those — so students get answers grounded in their actual curriculum, not the open internet. For students, the AI tutor has persistent memory: it remembers what topics they have struggled with, what their course covers, and adapts its support accordingly. It can generate practice questions, explain concepts, and help prepare for exams — all within the guardrails of the course syllabus.

lern.life runs purpose-built portals for different sectors, all powered by the same underlying AI engine:

Every meritorious, economically disadvantaged learner has free access to lern.life today. This is not a promotional offer — it is a structural commitment baked into how lern.life is funded. Institutions and enterprises pay for the platform; that revenue funds free access for students who need it most. Pricing is based on the number of users:

• Small Group (up to 10 users) — £75/month
• Medium Group (10–20 users) — £150/month
• Large Group (20–50 users) — £250/month
• Institutional (50–100 users) — £500/month
• Enterprise L1 (101–250 users) — £999/month
• Enterprise L2 (251–500 users) — £1,999/month
• Enterprise L3 (500+ users) — £2,999/month

Annual pricing is also available with a discount. Individual users can access the platform at £3.25/month or £39/year.

Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled any time before the next billing date. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled to prevent renewal, but refunds for the remaining annual term are not provided except where required by law. Contact hello@lern.life to manage your subscription.

Yes, fully. lern.life complies with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. All data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the EU/EEA. Student data is isolated by organisation — a student from one institution can never see data from another. All traffic is HTTPS-only with TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted. No. Your data — including uploaded course materials, assignment submissions, conversation history, and resume content — is never used to train lern.life's AI models or any third-party AI models. AI providers we work with are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit them from using your data for model training.

Student data is protected by: HTTPS-only encrypted transmission, AES-256 encryption at rest, JWT-based authentication with automatic session expiry, role-based access control (a student cannot access another student's data), organisation-level data isolation, two-factor authentication available for all accounts, and private AWS S3 storage for all uploaded files.

uni.lern.life is designed for users aged 16 and over. The school.lern.life portal (coming soon) is designed for K-12 learners with additional safeguards: parental consent requirements for under-13s, age-appropriate content filters across all AI tools, and reduced data retention periods. lern.life complies with the UK Children's Code (Age Appropriate Design Code).

Data is retained for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. AI tutoring conversation history is retained for 90 days by default and can be cleared manually in Settings at any time. Uploaded files (assignments, course materials) are retained for 12 months after the relevant course or engagement ends, then deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.

The student portal (uni.lern.life) is built on React 19, Vite, and TailwindCSS. The teacher portal (manager.lern.life) is built on Angular 19. The AI backend uses Python/FastAPI with large language model APIs. All infrastructure runs on AWS (S3, CloudFront CDN, EC2, Route53). The platform uses an agentic AI framework — AI capabilities are composable and work together seamlessly. Full infrastructure details are available to institutional buyers under NDA.

Yes. lern.life is fully mobile-responsive and works on all modern browsers on iOS Safari, Android Chrome, and other mobile browsers. No app download is required — the platform works as a progressive web application in your browser.

lern.life supports the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, iOS Safari, and Android Chrome. We recommend keeping your browser up to date for the best experience and latest security features. Internet Explorer is not supported.

lern.life provides APIs and integration capabilities for connecting with existing Learning Management Systems (LMS) used by schools, universities, and corporate training departments.
